Dropbox Device Limit

So, I recently started using my desktop and realized that the Directory was not syncing, so I tried to start it and got told I have too many devices.

Upon more research I found that Apparently I have been living under a rock since March. I did not realize that DropBox started limiting the number of devices to three.

One thing I did learn is that apps that directly connect to Dropbox themselves do NOT burn a slot. So I removed the full client from my phone since the primary use on my phone is keepass and Joplin.

I admit I lean on DropBox when I want to get data (pictures mostly) off my phone quickly. I started using Nextcloud for that function which seems to work well.
